Complaints and Disputes: A Realistic Guide for Readers in India

Most complaint guides assume there is a regulator waiting at the end of the road: you write to the casino, it fails to answer, and a gaming authority steps in. For readers in India that road does not exist. Since 1 May 2026 the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 has prohibited online money games, and India never had a licence or register for them in the first place. This page explains what that means in practice when something goes wrong with a Cosmos account, which records protect you, and where a genuine fraud should be reported. It is background information, not legal advice. For the wider picture, start on the India home page.

Why there is no regulator to escalate to

A dispute about a gambling account is normally a matter between the player and whoever licensed the operator. India issues no such licence, so no Indian body supervises how a casino or betting brand treats its customers, handles a frozen balance or applies its own terms. The Online Gaming Authority of India, set up under section 8 of the Act within MeitY, oversees permitted formats such as e-sports and social or educational games — not money games, which the Act prohibits. International brands that can be reached from India are still covered by the Act, which states that it applies to services run from outside India, but that coverage is about prohibition and penalties, not about resolving a player's dispute.

The honest conclusion is uncomfortable: if a money-game account goes wrong, the realistic options are limited to the operator itself and, where a crime is involved, the police.

Start with the operator's support — in writing

The operator's support desk is the only party that can look inside a Cosmos account, so any account question — a login problem, a request to close the account, a question about a balance left from before the ban — goes there. Write from the email address registered on the account, describe what happened in a few short paragraphs, give dates and times, and ask a specific question. Chat is convenient, but a written email trail is easier to keep and to show to someone else later. Our support page explains how to word a request so it gets a useful answer.

Do not send passwords or one-time codes to anyone, including someone who says they are from support. A genuine support agent never needs them.

Records worth keeping

If you were defrauded

Blocked brands attract fraud, and readers in India meet several recurring schemes: a look-alike site that collects logins and documents, a fake "support agent" who contacts you first on a messaging app, a "recovery agent" promising to get lost money back for a fee, and paid tipsters selling sure-win predictions. None of these is a complaint about an operator — they are crimes against you. Report them to your local police station or to your state or union territory cyber cell; under section 15 of the Act, investigations are handled by state and UT cyber cells. Bring the records listed above, plus any phone numbers, payment references and usernames the fraudster used. Our page on mirrors and look-alike addresses describes how copycat sites work.

What this site cannot do for you

cosmoscasino.biz is independent of the operator. We cannot open, close, unblock or verify accounts, we cannot see transactions, and we do not negotiate with the brand. We also do not publish mirror lists or recommend workarounds to reach a blocked service. If something on our pages is wrong or out of date, write to info@cosmoscasino.biz and we will correct it. If gambling itself has become the problem, the self-exclusion page and the responsible gambling page list free help, including Tele MANAS at 14416.

Questions about complaints

Is there an Indian authority that handles casino complaints?
No. India has no licence or regulator for real-money online gaming, because online money games have been prohibited since 1 May 2026. There is no ombudsman or gaming board to which a dispute with a casino or betting brand can be escalated.
Can cosmoscasino.biz sort out a problem with my Cosmos account?
No. This is an independent information site, not the operator. We cannot see, open, close, unblock or credit any account, and we cannot speak to the operator on your behalf. Account questions go to the operator's own support desk, in writing.
Someone offered to recover my money for a fee. Should I pay?
Treat it as a likely scam. Offers to recover lost gaming money, unlock accounts or reverse transactions in exchange for an upfront fee are a common fraud pattern. Do not pay, do not share one-time codes or documents, and report the contact to the local police or your state or union territory cyber cell.
What should I keep before writing a complaint?
Keep the email address used on the account, the dates and times of what happened, screenshots of the screens involved, any reference numbers from support, and copies of every message you sent and received. Write everything down while it is fresh.
